Feast — Terms of Use

Feast uses Apple’s standard App Store terms, with additional details below specific to Feast’s subscription and Scripture Gate.

The agreement

Your use of Feast is governed by Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement (the “Standard EULA”), which applies to apps downloaded from the App Store. That document is the operative agreement; this page summarizes it and adds nothing that contradicts it.

Feast is licensed to you, not sold. The license is personal, non-transferable, and limited to Apple devices you own or control.

Full Feast subscription

Feast is free to use with the Book of Mormon. Full Feast is an optional auto-renewing monthly subscription that unlocks the Bible, the Doctrine and Covenants, and the Pearl of Great Price, along with widget book selection and Scripture Gate.

• The current price is shown on the App Store page and on the subscription screen inside the app, in your local currency.
• Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase.
• The subscription renews monthly unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
• Your Apple Account is charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period.
• You can manage or cancel your subscription any time in Settings → your name → Subscriptions on your device. Cancelling stops future renewals; access continues until the end of the period you have already paid for.
• If the subscription price rises, Apple keeps existing subscribers at the price they signed up at for as long as the subscription remains active, and will contact you before any change that requires your consent.

Subscriptions are handled entirely by Apple. Feast never sees or stores your payment details. Refunds are handled by Apple, not by us — see Apple’s refund instructions.

Scripture Gate

Scripture Gate is optional and off by default. When you turn it on, it uses Apple’s Screen Time (Family Controls) frameworks to place a verse in front of apps you choose. It is friction, not a lock: you choose which apps, you choose what opens them, and you can turn it off at any time in the app. Feast never learns which apps you selected — that selection is held privately by iOS. Scripture text

Feast displays scripture text with the aim of presenting it accurately and in context. Every verse shown on a lock screen has been reviewed to stand on its own. Even so, the app is a reading aid, not a substitute for study, and no warranty is made as to fitness for any doctrinal or scholarly purpose.

Acceptable use

Please don’t attempt to decompile, reverse engineer, or redistribute the app or its bundled content, except where such restriction is prohibited by applicable law. The Standard EULA covers this in full.

No warranty

Feast is provided “as is,” without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law. Limitations of liability are as set out in the Standard EULA.

Changes to these terms

If these terms change, the updated version will be posted here with a new “last updated” date. Material changes affecting your subscription will be communicated through the App Store.
